Crafty {like a fox}
Every now and again I go through a period where I simultaneously feel inspired, crafty and enthusiastic. I wish I could bottle my excess enthusiasm during these times so I could draw on it during those lack lustre periods.
I've been enjoying an extended period of enthusiastic crafting lately. I've completed lots of unfinished projects and other small tasks that have been on my to-do list for some time.
The foxy cross stitches above are what ignited my current crafty streak. I'm planning on turning them into brooches for some upcoming birthdays. I also put together my very first pen pal parcel over the weekend which I'm looking forward to posting about next week. Next were a pair of shorts for Millie which I made from a vintage sheet, and now I'm working on some new product designs for my little shop overhaul.
Are you working on any crafty projects at the moment? I'd love to know. Feel free to leave a link in the comments below so I can pop over and see what you have been making.
Happy days to you!
Melinda x
Note: The pattern for the cross stitch foxes is from the book 'Storyland Cross Stitch' by Sophie Simpson. The patterns in this book are much nicer than the ones I remember doing as a child, it's worth a peek.

Your foxes are gorgeous :) I'd love to see them as brooches! I'm intrigued. I remember my first ever cross stitch when I was little. It was of a horrid panda bear but I was so proud of it that my mother had it framed! I still have it :) And you know me... I'm always crafting: http://hello-crafty.blogspot.com.au/2014/04/just-thought-and-some-sewing.html?m=1

P.S. I can relate to your enthusiastic creative outbursts. I get that same way too.
Love it Sophie! I was trying to remember what I had cross stitched as a young one but I can't remember for the life of me. I know I did heaps!!!! Maybe I'll stumble upon them one day and laugh. Melinda xx
DeleteMelinda, the little fox cross stitches look great. Also LOVED the photo 17/52 of Millie and of course those marshmallows look totally delicious. Have a good week. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia
