1. Happy mail from my dear friend Kaye at Emba & Scouty. I still can't get over the fabulous wrapping!
2. Inside one of the parcels was this beautiful crochet flower garland. Kaye makes THE most beautiful handmade wares. Check out her Made It shop over here, you won't be disappointed.

8. Memory. I loved playing 'Memory' as a child. My Mum, little brother and I drew our own set of cards and I still remember all of the pictures we drew and who drew them. Seeing them now makes me laugh. My brother's sweet girlfriend bought Millie and I this lovely set from the 'California Design' Pop- Up Shop at the Queensland Art Gallery. I can't wait to play it with Millie when she's old enough. But for now, we will admire the pretty pictures.

2014 is shining brightly in our little corner of the world. We welcomed the new year with a delicious vegetarian feast with family, we celebrated my older brother's birthday with my little brother's famous homemade pizza and we cooled off in whatever ways we could. I hope 2014 is looking bright for you too!

I love my journal.....I carry it wherever I go, just in case. I've been cutting and pasting over the last couple of days to create some collage pages using images from my favourite magazine - Mollie Makes! Mollie Makes is all kinds of lovely and every issue is a bundle of inspiration. Above are the pages I created this week.....
Oh, starry night - a string of stars, metallic, sequins, glitter, feminine florals, sweet softies, knitted slippers to keep night time toes warm, a moustached moon and baby deer, just because.
Celebrate - oversized balloons, metallic, tassels, fringing, candlelight, feminine blooms, polka dots and glitter.
Tiny People - handmade dolls clothes, wee button eyed birdies, illustrated forest friends, vintage treats, hooded jackets and knitted mary janes.
Rustic Neutral - black and white, pressed metal, metallic detailing, handmade, felt birds, hand drawn type, bunnies and chunky knits.
'Oh, starry night' is definitely my favourite page and I'm absolutely loving the knitted light shades in 'Rustic Neutral'. What's been inspiring you in your journal lately?
