Mum, my dearest friend.....

1986 flashback: I love this photo of my Mum. That's me in the pink (don't you love my hair) and my oldest brother, Ben. Mum is actually pregnant with my younger brother here too!
 

When I sat down to write this post, words escaped me. They often do when I try to express just how much my Mum means to me. I love her to the moon and back, and then some.  Without a doubt she is my dearest friend and we can while away many an hour in each others company. Without her,  I would be lost.

Every day I become a little bit more like my mother, and I couldn't be prouder!

So, to my dearest friend, my Mum,  Happy Mother's Day, may your day be filled with love and kindness!

Collection: Vintage Buttons

A couple of weeks ago I shared some photos of my treasured vintage coat hanger collection after seeing a collector's article in frankie magazine. It got me thinking about the other things that I have accidently or unintentionally started to collect.

Vintage buttons are one of those things. I never set out to start a vintage button collection, it just happened! There's just something about the colours, the shapes, the designs and the detail that get me everytime. How could you not love these coloured little discs of happiness?

• The sweetest knitted baby jumper pattern by quince&co. I do love a good handmade knit.
