Crafty Folk: Emba & Scouty

A few weeks before Christmas I stumbled upon the beautiful handiwork of Emba & Scouty on instagram. From the moment I saw their gorgeous vintage inspired Christmas decorations I knew I wanted a little piece of their handmade story on our tree. When my carefully wrapped parcel arrived I knew I would treasure and admire what was inside for years to come, but what I didn't know was that the lovely lady behind the label would become a dear friend.

Every now and again as you journey along life's path you meet someone who you know, right from the start, is going to be a great friend. Conversation (or typed words) come easily and location, age and life experiences are no barrier. I feel blessed to have met Kaye, the creator of Emba & Scouty, and wanted to share her beautiful work with you. I can assure you that each and every one of her creations is made with love and care, and to me that is what buying handmade is all about.

1. Beautifully wrapped parcels are one of the many things I love about buying handmade.
2. 3 & 4. A new product from Emba & Scouty. Crochet frames featuring the adorable Betsey Clark character (as well as lots of other vintage characters that will take you back to your childhood), popular during the 70s and 80s. Kaye lovingly sent Millie a set of these for her room. Lucky little girl she is!
5 & 6. The decorations I first fell in love with. These ones are ready for gifting to some lovely friends. Sharing the Emba & Scouty love.

You can see more of Kaye's work in her Made It shop or follow her on instagram @embaandscouty.

Happy days to you!
