A day at the farm.....

Saturday saw us adventuring up to my Grandfather's farm for a small gathering with extended family. The grass was the greenest (and the longest) I'd seen it in a long time. The heat was exhausting and the flies a little pesky.

There was never a quiet moment. The conversations were loud as stories of work, life, children and grandchildren were shared. Millie was introduced to some of my Aunts, Uncles and cousins for the very first time. She was wide eyed for the entirety of our visit and refused to sleep.

The fresh air and wide open spaces were so inviting. We watched on as a baby calf was hand fed. He was caramel in colour and oh so sweet! He even sucked on our hands hoping for a little more milk. I washed my hands well after that.....several times!

I hope your weekend was a lovely one too.

Happy days to you!

  3. It looks so beautiful and green, it's nice to see isn't it. I know my parents home often looks dry but it hasn't looked like that in a while now. Your Grandfather has a lovely farm, how fun to watch a calf being hand fed:) x
