.....my rose bush is in full bloom. Isn't it grand??? I love nothing more than being able to cut fresh flowers for the table. I am not a green thumb by any stretch of the imagination but I seem to have had great success with this rose. Mum and Dad bought it for us as a house warming gift from a grower at Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It refuses to die and is always in bloom, and what a good thing that is! I think it is called a duchesse de brabant rose, characterised by plump little blossoms and a very mild fragrance. For more 'At my house' goodness pop over to the lovely Lou's.

ReplyDeleteI wish, wish, wish my roses would bloom so beautifully. They struggled this year. I'm hoping a nice rest over winter will do the trick for a fab Spring. Do you know what kind of rose this is? It's so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI really love to have fresh flowers around as well. I would love to pick them from my own garden but at the moment I need to be happy with occasional purchases from the market instead. Your rose is a beautiful colour.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in this week. Lou.
We used to have loads of rose bushes at our old house but none where we live now. It's a shame as they're so pretty when in bloom!
ReplyDeleteWhat kinds of things to you put in your journal? My week's been OK so far thanks. I think I have tonsillitus but I'm soldering on haha! Hope you're well =)
That flower is just beautiful. Roses are my favourite flower.
ReplyDeleteFlowers like this just make me feel happy. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis. This is why I hate renting. :(
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning.
I really want to plant roses. This is so inspiring. I was proud that I planted some in my home in Canada and was always fascinated how they bloomed in the Spring after a long winter covered in snow!
